You’re part of the ninety-nine percent, you say. <\/p>\n

What of that? <\/p>\n

Your status isn\u2019t fixed, and you are not stuck there. <\/p>\n

You\u2019re free to work your way along the spectrum \u2014 as, indeed, most people do. You\u2019re free to run clear up to the top percent \u2014 as, indeed, many people do. Your motivation and your desire and your persistence primarily determine this. The spectrum is fluid, and you are mobile along the spectrum. For the first time in human history, the formal recognition and the advance of freedom made such mobility possible and also legally permissible. Under feudalism or any other statist regime, no such mobility exists at all. Under such regimes, your status and your class are fixed. In this way, America expunged the entire idea of class.<\/p>\n

\tPlease consider also that under a system of laissez faire, you are completely free to practice any form of government you want: buy your land and build your commune and set up your rules and live that way.<\/p>\n

\tThe opposite, however, is not true: virtually any other form of government strictly prohibits \u2014 under threat of fines, imprisonment, gulags, concentration camps, and death \u2014 its citizens from practicing true laissez faire, which is the full and inalienable right of action, use, and disposal.<\/p>\n

\tThat, in many ways, is all anyone ever need know.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
