An Open Question For All Lefties

I have an open question for all my lefty readers who so stridently denounce George W. Bush.

How on earth do you defend this?

From the (left-wing) Associated Press:

Barack Obama Sets New Record Denying Censoring Government Files

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration set a record again for censoring government files or outright denying access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.

The government took longer to turn over files when it provided any, said more regularly that it couldn’t find documents and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy.

It also acknowledged in nearly 1 in 3 cases that its initial decisions to withhold or censor records were improper under the law — but only when it was challenged.

Its backlog of unanswered requests at year’s end grew remarkably by 55 percent to more than 200,000. It also cut by 375, or about 9 percent, the number of full-time employees across government paid to look for records. That was the fewest number of employees working on the issue in five years.

Please read the rest here, I beg you.

In fact, I beseech you. I implore you. Tell me — tell us — how this sort of thing makes you hate one man and yet love another.

  1. A government coverup? Unheard of. Both Bush Jr. and BHO suck. Which one more? The economy tanking late in baby Bush’s second term didn’t help either legacy.

This independent voted for Barry both times. Couldn’t do McCain because of the hockey mom … Romney belongs to a sick and sad Christian cult (as too, his running mate, albeit to a more archaic one) … not much to choose from. Can understand why so few vote. A second Clinton or a third Bush … perhaps again Cheney will search for himself as VP. With Jeb (and Marvin) Bush at least we might have another creative false flag to look forward to — that is if we all make it to late January 2017. It would be fun to see Bill and Hillary get taken down once again and for all. The Republicans need to run a born-again Hispanic gay female.

It would be hard to argue that there are not different standards for each party.
If a Dem congress would have sent a condescending letter to a foreign country undermining a Republican executive, the Republicans would have to have been hospitalized. If a Dem executive did an Iran-Contra, a Republican legislature would have made the WH look like the siege of Troy.

  2. Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. Of course, as you know, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush — and it is, ultimately, all pink on the inside. Is it not?

    Thank you for dropping by.

  3. > Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other.

Whoa. That’s around one-sixth a suicide bomber’s either side in heaven … as apparently to them, among other things, a single partner on this rock is so over-rated.

    > Of course, as you know, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush —

Yes, whenever I am fortunate to have a bird in hand two are definitely in the bush.

    > and it is, ultimately, all pink on the inside. Is it not?

This too has been the findings of my research to date.

    > Thank you for dropping by.

Thank you for the provocative venue.

  4. Regular readers know that I’m no fan of George W. Bush — and for a multitude of different reasons — but as far as use of the English language is concerned, I hardly think the left has anything on the right.

For example, this is about as phony a manner of speaking as I’ve ever heard:

  5. While we’re on the subject, let me also note here what total bunk it is that, for whatever its other faults, left-wingers are somehow more “intellectual” than right-wingers, as I often hear.

In fact, the liberal worldview, with its absurd espousal of egalitarianism and its arrant faith in bureaucracy, is every single bit as backward-ass as the religious right, with all its espousal of God and tradition — and for the exact same reasons:

One worships at the shrine of God. The other worships at the shrine of government.

    Both are equally incorrect.
